My grandma passed away today and I wanted to write a review of the board and care facility she's been living at for the past 3 years.
It took us a tour of eight or nine facilities when we were searching for a home for grandma. Bay Harbour was one of the first ones we saw and was the one we returned to over and over again. At the time, they didn't have an opening but we waited, and I'd have to say, it was the absolute best decision we ever made for my grandma.
The caregivers here are of the utmost quality in terms of their attention towards the residents, the fact that they treat them like their own family is what makes me so grateful towards them. It is bad enough having to leave your loved ones in the care of strangers, but worse when your loved ones are treated badly (which was what happened at a facility my grandparents were at previously) so to actually have people who genuinely care about the quality of life your loved one receives is more than one can ask for.
The manager, who lives in the facility and the owner and administrator are loving, caring and professionals who, from day one was truly considerate and concerned of my grandma's care, as well as for my well being.
This facility sits right on the SF bay and has a beautiful serene view of water. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a home for their elderly loved ones.

We provide three healthy meals a day, two snacks a day, bathing, launderying, activities and entertainment.

My mother was a resident at Bay Harbor Care Home for two and a half years until her death. During that time she was provided exceptional care. The staff at Bay Harbor is knowledgeable and diligent in the proper care of the elderly. They conscientiously oversee the physical and mental health of each resident. But more than anything they treat each resident with respect. While my mother resided at Bay Harbor we were completely confident she was receiving the best care possible.
